Intro to Newsletter-ing
Hello World: I’m new to this world of newsletters and not sure have no idea what I am doing or why. Probably not a great start but hey I’m gonna bumble my way to somewhere and hopefully learn something and gain a bit of understanding along the way. I’m going to try to hold myself accountable to a weekly schedule where—hello, did I introduce myself? I’m Jess Broze, I make art things, mostly paintings and drawings, and am planning on creating a lot more digital stuff—I plan to write about what I’ve been working on, what I’ve learned, art products reviews, gallery/art show reviews, free/low fee open call finds, and what ever else comes up.
Product Review: The New 2024 nano etched screen iPad Pro
Oh man I have been waiting for these latest iPads to be announced for the last six months and I really thought once they were announced I would purchase the 2022 pro. Anyway, I am ridiculously happy to have the 2024 11in nano etched screen and boy am I glad I waited to upgrade from my 2017 iPad Pro! I’ve only had it a few days so I know I will be discovering much more and also looking for updates to drawing apps to take advantage of the new pen features. Right now I am using the Magic Keyboard to type this newsletter after a morning playing in Adobe Fresco! What a beautiful beast! And I no longer have insane lag using art apps that my 2017 iPad couldn’t handle. Next week I’ll write a more detailed review after spending a bit more time with it but as for now, for me, it is a dream!
